String of fire

A prescribed set of shots in a drill before taking a break, resetting, and running another string or the same string.

A string of fire is a series of shots prescribed by a drill, sometimes involving additional actions like movement or a reload.

After completing a string of fire, the shooter is expected to reset, check gear, and get ready to run another string of fire – sometimes the same string, sometime a different string.
