Breaking the shot is the moment the trigger moves far enough for the gun to go off.
Flagging is when you unintentionally point the gun at someone – usually yourself.
A string of fire is a series of shots prescribed by a drill, sometimes involving additional actions like movement or a reload.
After completing a string of fire, the shooter is expected to reset, check gear, and get ready to run another string of fire – sometimes the same string, sometime a different string.
A vision barrier is any object that obscures the target requiring movement in order to see the target.
The object could be something solid and bulletproof, like concrete, or something thing that can be shot through, like cardboard or curtains.
