They insist they don’t want to take our guns, while also telling us we need to give up our guns and writing legislation to take our guns.
The anti-gun movement loves to reassure gun owners that, “no one is trying to take your guns.” I regularly hear things along the lines of, “We just want to pass common-sense laws that won’t affect the majority of gun owners.” Both of those statements are bold faced lies.
The recently proposed H.R.5087, Assault Weapons Ban of 2018, bans “semiautomatic assault weapons” which ends up being defined as most semi-auto firearms capable of accepting magazines. This ban is not only banning the most popular firearm in America, the AR-15, it is banning the majority of semi-auto firearms owned by law abiding citizens – including most semi-auto handguns. This AWB is not a, “ban scary looking black rifles” – this bans any semi-auto firearm capable of holding more than 10 rounds.
Those aren’t words, those are direct actions from the majority of the Democrats currently in the House of Representatives.
Additional assault weapon bans are being pushed hard at the state level across the US. The thing is, each of these AWBs have different definitions of an “assault weapon.” So when anti-gun advocates tell us we need “common sense” legislation to ban “weapons of war” – they can’t even come up with a consistent definition they agree on. How can that be common sense? Using the term “weapons of war” shows they don’t understand the 2nd Amendment, and using the term “assault weapon” shows they have no interest in a “good faith” discussion.
Quotes from anti-gun leaders
Quotes directly from the leaders of the anti-gun movement constantly re-iterate how they want to ban all guns or at a minimum, ban some of the most popular firearms in America.
“If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them, Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in, I would have done it.” -Dianne Feinstein
During the March 24th March For Our Lives movement, heavily organized and funded by anti-gun organizations, Parkland survivor Cameron Kasky said during a speech to the crowd, “The people demand a law banning the sale of assault weapons. The people demand that we prohibit the sale of high capacity magazines.”

The anti-gun movement actively is seeking out the death by a thousand papercuts method. They want to take away our rights one at a time. There is no compromise with the anti-gun movement. They want to erode the 2nd Amendment, one bit at a time and won’t stop until they get it all banned.
Rubio scores an own goal when he says the assault weapons ban "would literally ban every semi-automatic rifle that's sold in America" and the crowd erupts in cheers pic.twitter.com/VfIqxCloyo

During the CNN Town Hall, when Rubio mentions that banning “Assault Weapons” would require the banning of all semi-auto rifles, the crowd erupts in cheers.
The anti-gun movement is heavily fueled by emotion. They have been whipped into a frenzy by the media and anti-gun politicians to see “assault weapons” and semi-auto rifles as the reason why America has violent crime with guns. The truth is, rifles are used less often in crime than knives. Handguns are the primary tools of violent crime with firearms – but the anti-gun movement is not focusing on the primary tools of “gun violence.” That clearly shows their intent of revoking the 2nd Amendment, not fighting “gun violence.”
They advocate the death of gun owners
Not only is the anti-gun movement pushing hard to ban and confiscate guns at a scale never before seen in the world, they are openly advocating for the death of gun owners to push their agenda.

“Any weapon that is designed for use by the military I think we should ban. You’ve heard people say you have to pry my gun from my cold dead hands. (shrugs) OK.” – Daryl Fisher
A protestor at the March For Our Lives holds up a sign saying “Okay, we will pry it from your cold dead hands!”
There were many more signs at the March For Our Lives in Washington D.C. that had similar messages.
The anti-gun movement is looking to ban guns
If someone tells you, “we don’t want to take your guns.” They are either uninformed or lying to you.
The anti-gun movement is writing and proposing federal bills that will confiscate our guns. Not only are they trying to confiscate our guns, they most recent legislation literally bans the majority of firearms in America.
