Americans have set yet another gun buying record, making October the 18th straight month of beating the previous months’s record. The 2,333,539 checks through the National Instant Criminal Background Check (NICS) in October is 350,000 more than October 2015.
There were 1,992,219 background checks in September 2016 passing through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, that is a 27% increase from September 2015’s gun sales record of 1,795,102.
