Gunfights & Anti-Gun Failures

A handgun isn’t a magical self defense wand. It requires skill to use, not only when it comes to shooting fast and accurate, but also when to engage a threat and when to stop engaging. A threat might end after two shots, or the threat might keep on going like the Energizer Bunny.

Speaking of the Energizer Bunny, the anti-gunners never stop, do they? Despite continual data showing their methods don’t work, they keep on pushing harder and harder before their latest set of laws even take effect. This shows how they don’t want one more set of laws to fix problems, they want to keep on passing new laws until the 2nd Amendment is gone.

Body Cam Footage Illustrates the Importance of Handgun Magazine Capacity
No one survived a gunfight and wished they had less ammo in their gun.

The 3 Components of Surviving a Gunfight – Proficiency, Tactics, & Luck
While we hope we never have to apply these skills, it’s best to understand what goes into a gunfight so we can better prepare ourselves.

Match footage of the annual USPSA Hosefest at my local club.
It was a very fun match, despite the mistakes I made.

Surviving a Gun Fight

Woman with concealed carry permit fatally shoots escaped inmate who broke into her home
The anti-gun movement loves to say, “if we can save just one child’s life, banning guns would be worth it.” But what about this woman who is still alive because she had a gun to defend herself?

Building a Trauma Kit
Statistically you’re more likely to need medical skills and equipment than you will need a CCW. It’s best to train in both – are you ready for a medical emergency?

Anti-Gun Goals and Their Failures

Washington: Anti-Gun Group Announces 2019 Agenda
The anti-gun movement loves to claim we have no reason to fear the “slippery slope” – but here we have anti-gun groups pushing for more legislation before the anti-gun laws they supported even take effect. The anti-gunners won’t stop until guns are banned.

The data shows every place that has banned guns has seen murder rates go up.
Remember, the data shows us that gun bans don’t actually make us safer.

Gun Buybacks Don’t Work (if you Believe in Math)
Some people say America needs a gun buyback program like Australia had. They have no idea what they’re asking – it simply isn’t financially viable, even if it worked which it has been shown to not work.
