Moms Demand Action Refuses to Debate on Gun Control Yet Employs Armed Security

Moms Demand Action is a gun control advocacy group founded after Sandy Hook. While they brand themselves as a grassroots organization, they are bankrolled by millionaire Bloomberg and other organizations. Furthermore, its leader, Shannon Watts, worked as a public relations manager for Fortune 500 companies – hardly the nobody stay at home mom she brands herself as.

Shannon Watts regularly claims 2nd Amendment organizations, like the NRA, are “terrified” of the moms that make up Moms Demand Action. However, Shannon Watts has a number of standing invitations from several pro-gun organizations, including the NRA, to have a public debate on the issues of gun control.

If the NRA is willing to engage in a debate with Moms Demand Action, how terrified can they actually be? And what does that say about Shannon Watts and Moms Demand Action since they repeatedly ignore these invitations for a debate on gun control? Does Shannon Watts maybe not have much faith in her own message?

I’ve piggybacked off of the NRA’s challenge and called out Moms Demand Action on their refusal to debate a pro-gun group on the issue of Gun Control.

They simply blocked me to help preserve their echo chamber.

It doesn’t stop there though.

Shannon Watts’ armed security

Despite claiming that guns are bad and they need to be banned to save just one child’s life, she actively employs armed security. So apparently she believes she deserves to be in control of firearms for her protection, but the average stay at home mom does not deserve the same protection and must rely on a 15 minute police response time for her safety.

Does anyone else see this as highly hypocritical?
