Sort explanation: Locked Back is going to be a training only website going forward.

Long explanation: Locked Back is definitely not as active as it used to be – particularly the blog. My life has gotten real busy with marriage, my day job, and an increased focus on my personal firearms training and efforts to improve myself through physical fitness and mental fitness.

This takes up a lot of my time resulting in less time for various things on Locked Back.

On top of that – I’m tired. I’m straight up tired of so many things. I’m tired of politics, stupid people being stupid, stupid people complaining about stupid people, one side yelling insults at the other, and all around the general toxicity that is plaguing America and downright destroying.

It makes for easy clicks online. It makes it easy to earn views. It makes it easy to fuel the flames.

I’m done with all that. I’m cutting out those things from my life with gusto. I just don’t have the time and energy for it. It drags me down as a person and makes me a worse human. I am making a big effort to surround myself with people who are looking to make themselves and the world better.

All of this means a change in how I approach many things in life – but brings us back to a change in how I handle Locked Back. If you don’t like the changes – please just unfollow and move on.

Locked Back 3.0 – all training

I have a passion to get be very good at what I do – be it my day job, firearms, video games, or whatever else I pursue. It’s straight up an obsessive personality trait of mine. So I am taking this obsessive focus and applying it to Locked Back.

I am cutting out everything from this site that isn’t related to becoming more proficient and effective with my firearms for self defense or competition.

Regular content

I will be posting content more regularly, and the content will be much more free form and less refined. The posting schedule is still up in the air, but it will be posted on this blog, social media, and the email newsletter. The email is probably the best way to make sure you don’t miss things.

If you want to become better with your firearms and join me on my journey where I get better with mine, than I am very happy to welcome you to 3.0.
