Legalize Suppressors by Helping Pass the Hearing Protection Act

Did you know that Suppressors (or gun mufflers as they’re originally called) are legal in many anti-gun nations in Europe, easy to obtain, and encouraged? It’s easier to acquire a suppressor in the anti-gun United Kingdom than it is in America.

Because they realize that suppressors aren’t mass murder machines like the movies depict, but are actually safety equipment to protect hearing and to not disturb neighbors or local wildlife.

However in America, citizens have to pay a $200 tax stamp, submit an application to the ATF with every bit of personal information, finger prints, and mug shot, and wait 4-12 months for approval before finally taking possession of the suppressor they’ve already paid for. Then in order to move or take the suppressor to another state, they have to inform the ATF and wait for approval. This is insane and it needs to stop.

Let’s take back our rights one at a time

Now that Republicans have control of the House, Senate, and Presidency, it is time to push back against the anti-gunners and start taking back our 2nd Amendment rights one at a time. We have the majority and a political party committed to restoring our 2nd Amendment rights. America is returning to its roots and becoming pro-gun again, with gun ownership on the rise. So let’s restore our rights.

First up? Let’s get suppressors off the NFA.

Legalize suppressors and remove them from the NFA

There’s already a bill in place with sponsors to remove suppressors from the NFA, it’s called the Hearing Protection Act. Contact your representatives and tell them to support the Hearing Protection Act.

Once the Hearing Protection Act is passed, suppressors will no longer have to be registered with the government, the $200 tax stamp will no longer be needed, and as demand rises, prices for suppressors will plummet. Imagine getting a .22 suppressor for casual plinking for under $100! A suppressor is a helpful device for all gun owners.
