September Gun Sales Hit 17th Straight Monthly Record – Up 27%

We’ve passed a full year and a half of ever climbing gun sales records. There were 1,992,219 background checks in September 2016 passing through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, that is a 27% increase from September 2015’s gun sales record of 1,795,102.

This Black Friday will likely see even greater than last year’s Black Friday, even though last year there were enough gun sales to create an entirely new military branch.

This is not surprising since the support for stricter gun control has been plummeting since 1990. Given the many horrible tragedies that have been happening in America and around the world, Americans are realizing that bad things do indeed happen – even in “good parts” of town. It is better to be prepared for the worst and nothing happen, than the worst happen and not be prepared for it.

Despite all of the anti-gun talk happening in DC, support for the 2nd Amendment is stronger than it has been in decades.
