Democrats Introduce Federal Bill to Ban Most Semi-Auto Firearms

The anti-gun movement is going all out and is attempting to ban almost all semi-auto firearms. CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES.

In light of the recent attempt to ban bump stocks, while also banning most semi-auto firearms upgrades, we thought the anti-gun movement couldn’t get any worse. But now they have, thanks to H.R.5087 which is intended “To regulate the importation, manufacture, possession, sale or transfer of assault weapons, and for other purposes.” Except they have re-classified “assault weapons” to include almost every semi-auto firearm available.

This bill bans 205 firearms by name, and classifies any semi-auto rifle with a detachable magazine and any “military-style feature” as an assault weapon and would be banned. A “military-style feature” includes a barrel shroud, pistol grip, or threaded barrel – features that are standard on just about every modern rifle.

But it doesn’t stop there!

Semi-auto shotguns holding more than five shells are banned. Rifles with an internal magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds are banned. Pistols with a threaded barrel are banned. Pistols with a magazine forward of the grip are banned. All belt-fed semi-auto firearms are banned. Bump stocks are banned. Magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds are banned. And there’s still more in this bill.

The anti-gun movement has given up all pretense and are working to ban just about everything.
