The DDI 12ga Puma Bullpup Shotgun Based on the QBZ-95

Bullpup firearms are growing in popularity these days now that many of the problems with the bullpup design are being dealt with. The DDI 12ga Puma Bullpup isn’t the first bullpup shotgun on the market, and it won’t be the last.

The benefits of a bullpup design are quite obvious, longer barrel out of a shorter overall length firearm. This makes the bullpup design ideal for indoors, getting in and out of vehicles, and is usually an overall lighter design.

The DDI 12gauge Puma bullpup shotgun is based on the Chinese QBZ-95 rifle. The QBZ-95 is a rifle, not a shotgun, and is chambered in 5.8x42mm and 5.56×45 nato. The QBZ-95 is still in service by the Chinese military, and likely won’t make it to the United States, so this DDI shotgun might be the closest we get to to the Chinese QBZ-95.
