Call Your Representatives About H.R.34 – End Gun Free Zones for Schools

H.R.34 – Safe Students Act has been introduced to Congress. This bill would “repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 and amendments to that Act.”

We all know that criminals and mass murderers seek out defenseless victims. Gun free zones leave our children defenseless. Some states already allow campus carry, and these schools have not been targeted for a mass shooting.

We also know that conceal carry license holders are amongst the most law-abiding demographic in the US. In Texas and Florida, CHL holders have a conviction rate of 0.3%, which is 6x less than the 2% conviction rate of police officers in those states.

It is insane that guns are used to protect many places across the US, but signs saying “this is a gun free zone” are used to protect our children.

Please call your representatives and urge them to support H.R.34 and end gun free zones in schools.
