An AR-15 that Shoots Arrows

Odd “firearms” are highly amusing – this AR-15 is one of the more unusual “firearms” I’ve ever seen. I mean, if you really like firearms and you really like archery, I guess why not combine them?

This firearm uses blank ammo to launch arrows at about 500 feet per second and may get up to 600 feet per second later in development – compared to a standard crossbow which shoots around 300 feet per second. The unique design also removes the “archer’s paradox” that archers have to deal with.

The production version will have obstructions to the barrel, preventing bullets from being shot out of it. That means it won’t be classified as a firearm and won’t fall under firearm related restrictions.
